Farewell Turnberry & Hello Loch Lomond

Today we departed from Turnberry and made our way north, up to Loch Lomond.  Today was just a travel day, so only a small post.

As the sun was finally shining a bit, it was a good opportunity for a few photos around the hotel.  This is looking from the front steps down toward the 1st tee and 18th green of the Ailsa course.  You can actually see Ailsa Craig on the horizon today.

Looking back toward the front of the hotel.

Looking across to the other side of the building.

The view over the pitch and putt course, towards the clubhouse and driving range.  The pitch and putt course has undergone a transformation as well.  It is now 18 holes, and has been redesigned to be a mini links course.  It was always a fun little thing to do, but now looks even better.  Unfortunately it was not available for play this week.

Rob "The Earl of Prestwick" Acquroff, settled into his throne.

The group outside the Turnbery Hotel prior to departure.  After an approximately 2 hour drive, we arrived at Loch Lomond.  This is a very exclusive private facility, and it is quality all the way.
You are greeted as you depart your transport by a staff member carrying a tray of scotch whisky.

This is what you are met with when you get to your room.  There is even a step ladder to climb up on to the bed.  The top of the mattress is hip high on me.

It didn't take the members long to make themselves at home in the conservatory of our lodge.

This helps everyone feel at home as well, well at least it warms them up!!

For those wanting to warm up in a different way on the range, you can do so.  The practice facilities are amazing.  A 400 yard long range and multiple putting greens, chipping greens and bunkers.

We tee off at midday tomorrow, and I will post plenty of photos then.
