Bye Loch Lomond, and welcome to Gleneagles

Unfortunately this morning sees our departure from Loch Lomond.  However, we are moving to a reasonable replacement, the Gleneagles Hotel.

Well look what turned up!  An early morning walk to the 4th tee saw the return of the missing driver.  Inadvertently placed in the rough when the rain was at it's peak, to select another club, then left behind.  What this means is that David's tee shot must have been reasonably deep in the junk for none of the remaining groups for the day to spot it!  Glad you got it back David.

All members of the group on the steps of the majestic Rossdhu House, prior to our departure.

On the way up to Auchterarder, we stopped by Stirling Castle for a quick look.

Here we are, Gleneagles!  Site of the 2014 Ryder Cup, and home to 3 great courses.

Home to a pretty handy hotel as well.  Reasonable cars in the driveway. 2 Bentley's, 2 Aston Martins, 1 Ferrari and a Rolls Royce.

A closer look at the Ferrari.  Very nice in black, terrible number plate though!

There were preparations for a wedding this afternoon.  What a magnificent location to get married.  The gardens are amazing, and the hotel is grand.

We are all in the newer extension, and the rooms are very nice.  No step ladders needed to get on the bed here though.

A view of the 1st hole on the King's Course, that we will be playing on Monday.

The first tee of the PGA Centenary Course, where the Ryder Cup was played, and where we will be playing on Tuesday.  Looks a bit different without all of the marquees and grandstands!

Mike McCann (aka Jarrod) pictured with the Gleneagles house staff at dinner tonight.  Mike's shirt was almost identical to those of the staff, so they presented him with an apron, complete with Jarrod's name badge.  Much to his dismay, we did not leave him a tip.

Tomorrow we play a match against the Gleneagles members, on the Queen's course, and hope for good weather.
